A big part of Scouting in Solihull is the vast amount of International Travel that is done all yearround!
We have our very own County Flag that has been donated in memory of Kath and David Hyde. Kath and Dave were involved in Scouting and Guiding all through their lives. Not only that but their three sons were scouts in 2nd Olton. Michael, Stephen and Andy all went through the Group and Mike and Andy both became leaders in Solihull.
Dave and Kath’s example, enthusiasm and drive have been an inspiration to everyone.
The flag goes on every international trip that our members go on. Places so far include: Canada, France, Switzerland, Spain and Australia! More info and photos can be found below:
