About UsCole District was formed on the 1 st April 2005, following the amalgamation of the former Solihull North and South Districts.The District is named after the river which meanders through the District, from the County border with Birmingham to the border with Warwickshire and beyond into the Trent valley.The District covers the rural areas of Hampton in Arden, Knowle, Dorridge, Balsall Common, Elmdon, Chelmsley Wood, Marston Green, Olton and the area of Solihull borough between the town centre and Coventry.At the last census The District comprised of 13 Groups and 6 Explorer Units, catering for young people between the ages of 6 to 18. The District also has excellent links to the County Network Unit, which facilitates activities for the young at heart to the age of 25.
