Beavers go Classical!
I visited 7th Shirley Beavers just before Christmas and was met with a fantastic array of music and colours. Jane (BSL) and Annette (ABSL) had provided each Beaver with a large piece of plain wallpaper. They then listened to about 2-3 minutes of various classical pieces of music and drew what they thought the pieces represented to them. Music included Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty, Prokoviev’s Dance of the Knights, Flight of the Bumblebee by Rimsky-Korsikov, Greig’s Hall of the Mountain King, the Blue Danube by Strauss, Orpheus in the Underworld by Offenbach and to end Harry Potter by John Williams. The Beavers with their new-found knowledge in classical music skills can be seen on the attached photo.
